The Porsche Cayenne has !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and now this Tesla X P100D is pulling a 787. Actually, electric airplane tugs are starting to become a thing, as airports are switching to them in an attempt to lower emissions.

Electric airport rugs make a lot of sense. Electric motors provide instant torque, you don’t have to worry about range because it never had to go far and you can keep it plugged in. However, if Tesla is the ones to make them, it’ll never happen, because airports don’t want to wait until 3019 to get them.

I wasn’t going for a comprehensive article about what has towed what, but it is certainly a worthy addition.

This is the perfect application for an electric vehicle. Closed system, no range anxiety, build quality doesn’t matter, nor does braking distance...
